  • We have requested our pantry partners to remain open and continue to serve people in need during this time.
  • However, pantries may have reduced their hours and made adjustments to keep shoppers, volunteers and pantry staff safe.
  • Please call any pantry you plan to visit to confirm their hours of operation and any information you need to provide to shop there.
  • Please confirm the zip code(s) the pantry serves.
  • Pantries may have pre-boxed or bagged items – a “grab and go” model instead of allowing shoppers to personally select items during this time.

Community Food Pantry of St. Joseph County:

UPDATE - Beginning Wednesday, March 25, 2020, the Community Food Pantry of St. Joseph County will operate a drive-through model distribution until further notice. Items will be pre-bagged and pre-boxed. You are asked to remain in your vehicle. There will be a designated area for walk-up shoppers. Thank you for your patience.

  • Located on-site at the Food Bank, the Community Food Pantry of St. Joseph County is open Monday: 9 a.m. – 2 p.m.; Wednesday: 11 a.m. – 5 p.m. and Friday: 9 a.m. – 2 p.m.
  • This pantry has suspended the seating area during the outbreak.
  • Shoppers must remain outside, practicing social distancing by standing 6 ft. from one another.
  • Currently, only (5) shoppers will be allowed into the pantry at one time to shop. This number may change based on current information provided by the St. Joseph County Department of Health, Indiana Department of Health, Centers for Disease Control and World Health Organization to keep shoppers, volunteers and staff safe.
  • Available produce, meat and dairy (if available) will be pre-bagged. This pantry will continue to allow shoppers to select dry goods.

  • The Food Bank of Northern Indiana is practicing social distancing by limiting the number of volunteers.
  • But volunteers are our heart and soul and we need healthy, able-bodied volunteers to help!
  • Volunteer opportunities are available Monday through Friday. Please call (574) 232.9986 ext. 129 for more information or email
