Volunteer Sweepers Needed to Assist Letter Carriers Along Routes During 23rd Annual Food Drive

The Food Bank of Northern Indiana is in need of volunteer sweepers to assist letter carriers along their routes on Saturday, May 9, during the 23rd Annual Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive.  Volunteers will assist collecting food donations along all South Bend routes.  Volunteers are needed for two shifts - 7:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. - 4:30 p.m.  Volunteers will work in teams of two and are required to use their own vehicle.  Call (574) 232.9986 ext. 137 for more information.

The National Association of Letter Carriers Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive is the nation's largest one-day food drive and the Food Bank of Northern Indiana's largest food drive each year.  Our goal is to collect 150,000 pounds of food this year to commemorate South Bend's 150th Anniversary.
