Islamic Society of Michiana to Host Mobile Food Pantry on Saturday, May 9, 2020

WHO:              Islamic Society of Michiana.

WHAT:           Mobile food pantry distribution for those in need of food assistance

This will be a drive-through distribution of pre-boxed items. Free of charge. First come, first served for up to 300 houses as supplies last for those in need of food assistance.

WHEN:           Saturday, May 9, 2020, 10 a.m. – Noon EDT

Islamic Society of Michiana offers educational, social, and cultural services to the Muslim community according to Islamic teachings and principles. Islamic Society of Michiana is also actively involved in promoting understanding towards Islam and Islamic teachings to the community at large by participating and sponsoring various interfaith and social activities.

The Food Bank of Northern Indiana works in partnership to feed the hungry, increase awareness of the effects of hunger and leads programs designed to alleviate hunger.  The Food Bank of Northern Indiana serves Elkhart, Kosciusko, LaPorte, Marshall, Starke and St. Joseph Counties and is a member of Feeding America, Feeding Indiana’s Hungry (FIsH) and United Way.
